This review is specifically for Craige Faries in the appliances department. We had an outstanding experience working with Craige. He spent over four hours with us in person, carefully helping us find all new appliances that matched exactly what we were looking for—both in style and within our budget. What really stood out was his dedication. After our initial visit, he continued doing additional research on our behalf and even invited us to come back the next day with more options and information. That level of commitment is rare and truly appreciated. Craige takes his time with customers, making sure every detail is covered. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind, which made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. We never felt rushed or pressured—just well taken care of. Highly recommend asking for Craige if you need help with appliances!

I am extremely disappointed with Home Depot’s installation services. After paying for a full flooring project, including a lead-safe practice fee for my 1970s home, the process has been a disaster. Service Failure: After taking my money, they admitted their contractors couldn't perform the lead-safe work I paid for and told me to hire my own handyman. After searching online, I found that Home Depot paid a $20.75 million penalty in 2021 (the largest in EPA history) for this exact issue: failing to ensure their subcontractors followed lead-safe work practices. It’s clear the store is still failing to manage its contractors. I may escalate this compliance failure to the EPA and corporate legal. Negligent Delivery: Their delivery team left high-end flooring planks outside without any instruction that they needed to be indoors. The Catch-22: Their installers now refuse to touch the materials because they were left outside, yet the store is refusing a refund for the "special order" materials that their own team placed outside. I am now stuck with thousands of dollars in materials that Home Depot’s own installers claim are unserviceable due to the store's delivery error. Avoid their flooring installation; the lack of communication between the store and their contractors is unacceptable.

This store feels smaller than the one in San Carlos, but usually suffices when it comes to finding what I need. Although things like concrete retaining wall blocks are less expensive than some other stores, they don't deliver. Ordering things online is another option for those that don't have a large truck to haul things home or to your job site. They use a 3rd party delivery service so don't expect much. My last delivery did have damaged parts within the kit, so buyer beware! As a big box hardware store.... you get what you get. Best to pick up in person so that you can inspect each item personally. Happy building!

I was simply searching for a toilet plunger which proved to be a considerable hassle. There was a myriad of staff members hanging out and about, half of them on their mobile cellular devices lumbering about. Two of the staff members proceeded to point me in the wrong direction/wrong aisles. Third time was the charm however. A particularly helpful chap not only advised me to the correct aisle, he gave above and beyond customer service by walking me to the exact section, giving detailed and knowlegeable advice on the various products, and even some helpful tips along the way. This wonderful employee is the sole reason for the 3 stars. The dichotomy between said employee and some of the other staff members was exceedingly vast to say the least. My evening foray into Home Depot, San Mateo, started off with disappointment and disarray but fortunately ended with success and hope for the future. Three stars.

I came in needing just a portable hand cart and a box cutter, and the employees were quick to help me find what I needed. The self-checkout process was smooth thanks to the assistance of the staff member there as well.
