KingVegan a month agoI don’t frequently make the trip to Home Depot; generally, my visits are limited to specific items needed for repairs around my home. The majority of my excursions tend to revolve around seasonal products, particularly during this time of year. Today, I find myself brimming with excitement as spring has finally arrived. I’m thrilled because the store is showcasing an extensive array of outdoor garden displays. I have undertaken the ambitious project of growing my own vegetables for the first time in over two decades. To start my gardening adventure, I have chosen to cultivate tomatoes, grape tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, and squash. Consequently, I am on the lookout for a sturdy tomato cage and some drainage rock. One observation I made during my visit is that many of the price tags were missing. I completely understand that Home Depot is a large operation, but my time is incredibly precious, so having to hunt down prices felt a bit cumbersome. I found myself in a situation where I needed assistance to access the pricing information. In my initial interaction with the first employee, while he was very friendly, he didn't possess much knowledge about the gardening department. Nevertheless, he was resourceful enough to locate someone more knowledgeable to assist me. Eventually, I managed to find what I needed. I do appreciate Home Depot for the most part; in many departments, if you require assistance, you can typically find someone who has substantial experience in that specific area. The only drawback is that it can sometimes be a bit challenging to track down these knowledgeable employees. But overall, I would categorize my experience as acceptable. 3.5 stars

R Ka 2 months agoEverywhere I've looked it states that returns can be made during regular business store hours. I arrived @ the Home Depot located on Castor ave. Phila Pa. @ (9:48pm). The entrance was gated closed and the exit doors were closed. I was able to get the security guards attention. After making contact with the security quard... I was asked, "what I needed?" I procedeed to explain that I needed to make a 2 item return. I was informed they are gone for the day and that the return desk is closed and closes down everyday @ (9:45pm.) It is extremely frustrating that the return desk availability and hours differs from their posted business hours. Even if it's true that the return desk does indeed close down everyday @ (9:45pm.), where is that disclosed and or posted? These are their hours that you will find posted online for this store location. I enclosed an attachment which you can find and see below. If their posted store hours are from (7:00am-10:00pm. M~Sat.) & (Sun.~8:00am.- 9:00pm.) and there is nothing posted about any departments closing down earlier than their posted store/schedule hours, this presents a substantial issue. I find this to be misleading and believe it should to adressed and fixed ASAP. In my opinion, it's false representation and advertising...
Lohanny Ramos a month agoTool Rental Department- I went in this week to rent a carpet shampooing vacuum. I told the cashier in the tool rental department I was trying to clean the steps in my home. She showed me how to connect the hose in order to use it. When I went home to use it, there was a bad leak, I was unable to do the job. I went back and asked if I could get another vacuum, showed the part that was leaking, the cashier said the connecting pieces looked loose, but they said NO because my rental time was over. It was 6:40am and said “You were actually 2 minutes over your time” I parked on the side door to the rental equipment side and the door was closed even though they were supposed to be open. It was the same the day before, side door to rental was closed when it was supposed to be open at 6am. So there goes your 2 minutes that I had to go around the store with the equipment!! I offered to show them the video of the leak they said they weren’t interested. They said the best they could do is give me $5 back because the hose isn’t the primary function of the vacuum. Not everyone is trying to get over on someone, I’ve rented trucks, and many other tools from Home Depot. I was not even asking for my money back, I was asking for another vacuum. Then when I said it will be very unfair for the next person because most houses in Philly have steps they want to clean, she said “Oh no we’re going to take it out of stock until it’s fixed” essentially admitting there is issue. They were very short with me, even though I was kind. Very rude DO NOT RENT from this HOME DEPOT THEY DO NOT CARE IF THERE EQUIPMENT FAULTY OR DOESNT WORK PROPERLY!!!! I also had the insurance, but that didn’t matter.
Alexis Macool 4 months agoThe greeter was friendly and the gentleman in the electrical department was helpful in getting the lamp sockets I wanted. I wish there was a NON self checkout option. The parking lot is huge, so parking was convenient. I already installed 2 of the 3 necessary sockets, leaving 1 spare. I highly recommend this Home Depot because of its knowledgeable, helpful and friendly employees.
