Today is March 27, 2026 and I just had the most amazing experience at Home Depot. The staff was amazing! It was free hot dog day and they wouldn’t even take tips. I rented a lawnmower and it took 15 min and the guy even topped off the gas. Then I asked for polymeric sand to a random staffer and he immediately knew aisle 24. These people blew my mind today.

Sketchy neighborhood and gauntlet of lurkers driving in but the store itself tries to keep it sane inside. I could not get help after trying 1.5 hours wasting my time however in flooring, plumbing, paint. One guy from electrical knocked himself out trying to help me and then trying to find someone in those other depts. Same with one young sticker guy. But no luck, those depts were "shorthanded"... so I went for a bit of dopamine and retail therapy in garden, but the two employees at the cash registers were loudly gossiping, other customers kept asking me for help LOL, there was no staff help... I came there needing hundreds of dollars worth of things and left with nothing. I used to shop at this store 3-4x/week, now I go less than 1/mo. A different HmDep location is a bit better but the whole chain has slipped. I went to Lowe's after this frustrating experience and got help in 11ish minutes and 2 of the 5 things I needed and spent $300ish. At least the garden center is pretty and sort of soothing LOL. Its chock FULL right now with a huge range of quality and cared for vs dying plants.

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you so much to the team at this Home Depot location. I stayed here from around 2:30 to 2:45–3:00, and everyone was incredibly kind and helpful to me. Especially Kenny , he helped cut a small piece of wood for me. It may have seemed like a small thing, but the effort truly meant a lot. As a single mom, I honestly didn’t know how I was going to handle a large piece of wood like that by myself. The machine wasn’t able to help, but Kenny used his own strength and time to help me cut it down. I’m really, really grateful for his kindness and willingness to help. Thank you so much, Kenny.

Every time I come here I feel ripped off and manipulated. Everything cost 3x what it used to. I've found their prices are often higher than Lowes down the street, and even on par with True Value. Harbor freight, Costco, Walmart are all significantly cheaper. Why should I pay convenience store prices to wander aimlessly in a 10 acre store where hapless associates cannot even tell me where to find things? This company used to use its weight in the market to keep prices down. I'm pretty sure they are using to push them up now. I hate going to Home Depot now. Its my last stop. They are just screwing over their customers.

One of the best Depots in Seattle. Just be careful with the tool rentals they charge me for tool insurance and I never agreed to it. If I had to blame anyone it would be the folks at the corporate office. The folks in the tool rental departments are very helpful and have one of the most challenging roles with the level of knowledge the have with tools. The folks at the corporate office are clearly disconnected with the people who shop here. Just look at the website. It's like a Jackson Pollock painting. I guess that's the difference between us blue collar workers. For all the DIY folks just try and be patient, your frustrations are mostly justified. #464250
