Love this place! I had such a great time visiting the Home Depot Garden Center! The plants were beautifully organized, and there was an incredible variety to explore. There were so many different kinds of Hoyas, ferns, and philodendrons — especially a wide range of indoor plants. I’ve recently become really interested in houseplants, and walking through the garden section felt almost like visiting a botanical garden. Everything looked healthy and well cared for, and it was just fun to browse around. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves plants or wants to start growing some indoors! 🌱

This is one of the newer stores only being about twenty years old.It is still clean and mostly dust free.Unlike the rest in the valley.😀. Although I moved out of the area, I still enjoyed coming to this location. We attend the free children's workshop at the beginning of each month. This location is always very welcoming to the children and adults. It is wonderful to see the same smiling faces every month. When we check-in. They are very helpful with the speedy check-in and friendly smile. Unlike other locations, they're setup is not as loud with all the children banging with hammers, they have buckets out for people to sit on, and cardboard trays for the children to bring their projects home in to keep the paint from getting in the car.

I had an positive experience at the Home Depot on Monterey Road in San José thanks to an employee who went above and beyond during a stressful moment. I came in needing help finding the correct screws and bolts for a project, especially after realizing the ones I ordered online were wrong. I brought the parts and photos of the machine with me, hoping someone could point me in the right direction. An employee working early Sunday morning helped me, and from that moment the experience was AMAZING. He opened different screw packages, tested them with my parts, and immediately figured out what I actually needed—saving me days of frustration, returns, and delays. As a woman who doesn’t always feel confident with hardware, I felt respected, supported, and genuinely helped. The store itself is exactly what you’d expect from a well-run Home Depot: plenty of parking, clean, efficient, wide aisles, and everything operating efficiently. It’s orderly, easy to navigate, and you can quickly find what you need, or someone willing to help you find it. This experience reminded me why in-person expertise matters. I left with the correct parts and a lot of gratitude. Home Depot is lucky to have dedicated and kind-hearted employees.

Management lies to customers about fake policies. I had a gift card valued just under $5 so I had gone to this location to get it redeemed for cash. In the State of California, it is required by law to do so if requested by a customer as long as the value is under $10. A manager or supervisor (I don't recall his name) told me that this store doesn't allow it and I would need to buy something, which is completely untrue. I went to another associate who helped me redeem it for cash instantly. A big shout out to her for that! Please retrain your managers to not be dishonest with their customers.

3/19/26 Update on my 2nd visit within 2 weeks. Management definitely changed. There are actually staff that are willing to help and know their stuff. Robert (Rob) from gardening offered to help find an item that isn't even in his department. He knew where it was and confirmed it with another staff. WOW. Again usually there isn't anyone available to help. But now it's a whole new experience. 3/3/26 Been here over 50 times. Today the staff are more courteous and they're available. Usually had to hunt down a staff for help or wait 5+ minutes. He offered to shake the paint can. That never happened before. Did management change?
