This Home Depot store has these dystopian license plate scanning cameras in its parking lot now from Flock Safety. They use AI to corroborate people’s whereabouts and are actively being used by ICE for immigration enforcement among other things. This is a clear 4th amendment violation and antithetical to American values. I brought this to the General Manager’s attention and he said his district manager would contact me, but that hasn’t happened 2 weeks later. I’ve been a regular business customer here for over a decade and spent tens of thousands of dollars, but I no longer feel safe being on premises. Your GM has my card and knows how to reach me. Make it right.

Went yesterday to rent a rototiller. Walked into rental department and the young man behind the counter was too busy with his TikTok to even look up to greet or help me. Inquired about rototillers, and another friend with a handlebar mustache and orange apron informed me that they are all winterized, and reminded me that it is WINTER. Had to take a couple of seconds before advising him that I appreciate this advice, and that I need to prep an area in my backyard for some sod, that is not frozen. It has been warm and will be 60F for the next 14 days. He told me that none of the machines have oil, and that I’m on my own to get them to work. Asked if they could de-winterize one for me. No. But he’d be happy to take my money despite unlikelihood that I’d be successful. I left. Went to HD on colfax. Completely different experience. The man that helped me had rototillers ready, and was happy to help and rent one to me. Attached is the photo of the area. Yep guess what, I was successful. Sod going in today. HD on Alameda, do better. Drop the attitude and laziness. Help a customer out and don’t patronize or condescend to your customers. I hope local store management, regional management, and corporate management sees this. Sad!

I just had an amazing experience on May 21, 2026 picking up close to 30 bags of dirt. I was by myself only with my 16 month old daughter and planned on wheeling the cart with all the dirt and my daughter in the stroller back to the truck but Anthony in the garden center offered to help. simple yet very impactful thanks again Anthony! Girl dads unite!

I had a wonderful experience at Home Depot thanks to Gage. He provided excellent customer service from the moment I asked for help. Gage is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions clearly and patiently. It is rare to find someone who is both professional and genuinely helpful, and he truly went above and beyond to make sure I found exactly what I needed. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about helping customers. Home Depot is lucky to have an employee like Gage on their team. Thank you again for the outstanding service.

They have Spanish only announcements. Where am I? Also I parked in one of the pickup spot cause nothing else was available. A janky kid says "would you please shop quickly then". I says "No". Why are the pickup spots at the front anyway? They get paid to walk yer stuff out, put em farther away, I don't get paid to walk from the back of the parking lot to the store!
