The Home Depot in Catonsville was a useful stop for a home project and had a solid selection of tools, supplies, and improvement items. I liked being able to compare products in person instead of guessing online, and the store was large enough to find most of what I needed in one trip. It can be a little busy depending on the time, but the pickup and delivery options make things more convenient. Overall, it was a practical place to shop for repairs, upgrades, and everyday project materials.

The overall experience was more like 0/5 stars based on guest service alone, but Bensen was the redeeming quality of this trip! Tried calling this store to confirm the availability of a patio, but sat on hold for 15 mins before just deciding to try my luck at the store. Upon arrival, I found the set I was looking for and after a quick scan determined that the 1 in stock on the website was the floor model. I took the price placard up to the customer service desk to ask if I would be able to purchase the floor display and how I would go about doing so. I received one word responses to all my questions and was never offered assistance. I took the placard to the checkout lane to pay to be told all the managers and specialists that could help “were on break”. The cashier handed me off to a floor associate who then told me that “there’s no way they’re selling me the floor model if there was one in the box”. I explained that I would prefer a box, but I didn’t see one still in the box and the woman at customer service told me I could buy the floor model. It felt like everyone I spoke could not be bothered to assist. I was then handed off to Bensen who took the time to come double check for a set in the box, call a manager to assist, and make the transaction happen! In a world where Guest Service is basically nonexistent, he went above and beyond. Thank you, Bensen!

Very disappointed with the checkout experience. When I came to check out, the cashier was rude and unprofessional. She was struggling to scan one of the brackets and instead of handling it calmly, she became irritated and took her frustration out on me for simply purchasing items. This kind of behavior is unacceptable for customer service. Customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable for buying products

This is my local home depot and i've had good and bad experiences but nothing quite like today. I arrived for an online pickup and there was one person ahead of me in line. Behind the cashier, there were four other home depot employees just casually talking. It may have taken them five minutes to even notice and offer to help me but then I still seemed like an annoyance to them. Sadly, they tried to hand me an engine oil bottle that was opened and spilled all over the bottle. They did go get me a new bottle without hesitation but only when I pointed out the fact that it was open. Everything is in expensive right now and i'm getting even more picky about where I spend my money. The convenience factor of this home depot being so close to my house is almost irrelevant to me and if I have time, I try to go to Lowe's every chance I get because experiences like this are becoming the norm at this location. This Home Depot Catonsville has a very terrible customer assistance system. When you as for assistance, they will page staff and the staff will never show up. I was looking for help in getting screws in isle 9. They paged 4 times and nobody showed up so I left. Don’t waste your time if you can’t find it yourself.
