Huge shoutout to Tati at the #4923 location in Wauwatosa. What an absolute rockstar. I was having a hard time finding an item as there was no listed location online, she was on the sales floor helping another customer but once she was done I asked for help. She started the hunt, and in the meantime got an escalated call to assist another customer as well. She juggled it all effortlessly!! We didn’t initially find my item, as the location in her scanner wasn’t accurate. We went up and down several aisles but no luck. I said no worries and went to checkout with my other items. As I was leaving, she found me and said she had found the item! It was in a box higher up on a shelf not at all in the area it was supposed to be. She got a ladder and grabbed it, and then she grabbed the rest and put them all in the proper location so others could find it too. She helped a handful of folks during our interaction, not sure what any of the other workers were doing cuz she seemed to be doing it all, so helpful and very kind. Customer service like this is hard to come by these days, but Tati clearly takes great pride in helping people. She made my day, truly. This woman deserves a raise, a promotion, and a paid week off. She got it done, and I hope HD rewards her dedication.

I had a great experience at Home Depot thanks to Jose. He was extremely helpful, patient, and genuinely kind. It is not often you come across customer service like that anymore. Jose took the time to answer my questions and made sure I found exactly what I needed without making me feel rushed. He truly represents what great customer service should look like. Home Depot is lucky to have someone like him on their team.

Unfortunately this place is tragic. So many employees milling around and chatting with each other. When asked for help they act put out, struggle to make eye contact and enunciate/speak clearly. Not knowledgeable. Asked for assistance with the vertical saw and was told someone would meet me over there. Ended up waiting ten minutes before giving up and leaving. In the garden center I could not find any compost and struggled to find an employee to ask for help. Very frustrating experience.

I had a wonderful experience working with Tasha. From the moment I approached her, she demonstrated outstanding customer service skills. She was friendly, professional, and very attentive to my needs. Tasha took the time to help me find exactly what I was looking for without making me feel rushed or pressured. Not only did she help locate the product, but she also went above and beyond by assisting with loading the smoke grill. Her willingness to help with such care and efficiency truly stood out. She made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Tasha’s positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication to customer satisfaction made a lasting impression on me. It’s clear that she takes pride in her job and genuinely cares about providing great service. I truly appreciate her help and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent customer support. She did an amazing job!

May2021 update: this store is in sliding - see images of the back end of the aisles. I could not even get to the shelving I went in for, having to climb over pallets of products. Then the aisle with the lumber I was after was blocked due to forklift activity for more than 15 minutes! I also could not get through the next aisle. I waited to speak with a manager but she was busy arguing with another customer on the phone. I left without talking to her, without the lumber I came in for, and will seek to limit my use of this store. Great place to have a store location but suffers from being busy at peak times on weekend days. The store is reasonably well stocked, though it is often messy, especially in the back of the store. There are a few great people, especially in plumbing, but finding a competent staff person is difficult especially in the evening when most DIYers are tackling projects. The paint department people are knowledgeable but the wait times can be long. Good luck finding someone to make a few saw cuts for you... I think the staff scatters when they see someone waiting there. Returns are usually quick especially late in the day. I’ve got a “Pro” account, and the Pro parking area on the far (west) side has covered spaces, along with open-air spots near the rental equipment.
