Last night I went to go get a portable AC unit The Home Depot seen this price and was like, "😭 yes God, I need this" I got to the checkout, the lady scanned the AC unit and the price read $600. My heart dropped, I could have managed $450 but $600 was too much for my budget. I made the cashier aware that this one is clearly marked for $399 and walked over to the display models pictured. She looked at them, compared the SKU and seen they were on the wrong units. She then stated, I'll have to see if the manager can help. Needless to say the manager on duty had to come out from using the restroom, verify that someone screwed up on the pricing, had the associate change it while we were standing there, then told me that "the best I could do is $100 off." I was shocked... I declined then asked for the name of their general manager. She refused to give me a name and said that I can contact homedepot.com I felt the lack of ownership of this mistake wasn't handled professionally and that the manager that night deflected. I will be following up with a formal complaint.

Genuinely some of the best customer service I’ve experienced. It was so unexpected it took me by surprise. Every person in there was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I had to get wood for a project I'm attempting. George helped me decide which wood would he best, made all the cuts and helped me figure out how I was going to assemble everything. He was so kind and patient and definitely deserves a raise! I was way in over my head and am very grateful for the time he took to help me

I had a completely unacceptable and unsafe experience at this Home Depot location. I came in to purchase one bottle of laundry detergent. An employee approached me and insisted on “helping,” even after I stated multiple times that I did not need assistance. He then insisted on bringing me a basket and walking my single item to self-checkout. After I paid, I pushed the basket to leave — only to discover that the employee had given me a security-locked cart. The cart froze in the middle of the revolving doors and set off a loud security alarm in front of customers. This was not only embarrassing but also dangerous. The abrupt stop of the cart while the revolving doors continued to move created a clear risk of injury, and it is extremely concerning that an employee placed me in that situation. When I questioned the employee, he stated it was “because of theft.” That explanation was inappropriate, insulting, and completely unjustified. I purchased ONE laundry detergent and had visibly just paid at self-checkout. Treating a paying customer as a theft risk and placing them in a potentially hazardous scenario is unacceptable on every level. This situation reflects poor training, lack of customer awareness, and a serious disregard for customer safety and liability. If the sudden cart lock had caused me to fall or injured another customer, the responsibility would have been entirely on the store. Because of the mishandling, I had to drive my vehicle to the entrance and have staff load a single item — all because of a cart that never should have been assigned to me. Home Depot management needs to address this immediately. The unsafe use of security-locked carts, the mishandling of customers, and the dismissive responses pose a clear liability issue for the store. There was absolutely no justification for treating a paying customer like a theft risk or for creating a situation that could have resulted in injury! “It’s never the intention — it’s the action behind it. Protecting detergent doesn’t justify endangering a customer.” “If the goal is to reduce theft, I suggest Home Depot also calculate the cost of a liability claim — because this situation created far more risk than one bottle of detergent ever could.” 12/6/25 - 8:00pm

I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer Marroquin over the past two days. What a professional! Caring, patient knowledgeable and helpful beyond all expectations. This “Pro” came to my house to access my master bathroom ON HER DAY OFF. Then, the following day put me under her wing as we found EVERYTHING I’m the store or online that my wife and I needed to make our dream bathroom plans come true. Big thanks to Jenn and Home Depot for supporting me on this endeavor. Can’t wait to see the final result!!! Pics are of my current “20 year old grandma bathroom” lol. ~ MAJ Evans, USA, retired
